Re-Homing

Labrador, Retriever or any Gun Dog Breed

From time to time we get asked to re-home dogs and we also work closely with a rescue centre at re-homing unwanted or abandoned dogs.

If you would like to register your details with us and the type of dog you are looking for we can keep them on record and when a suitable dog comes in we can contact you with a view to possible adoption.

All homes are visited to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the dogs we re-home, as well as suitability and further follow up visits are done after the dog is adopted. We work on donations and this covers food and some vets bills usually, and the up keep of the exercise area and runs for the dogs while they are with us as we foster them in our own homes and kennels. Social dogs are kept in doors with our own dogs and cats and the ones that don’t get on so well with other dogs are kept in their own individual kennel and run. All dogs are walked and exercised at least three times a day and in some cases we have begun training them in doggy good manners.

If you work all day and/or are not going to be able to  give a dog the attention and the exercise it needs, then please don’t contact us for possible adoption as you will not be considered. The welfare of the dogs are our paramount concern.

We specialize in Labradors, Retrievers, Spaniels and most gun dog breeds although we do sometimes get other breeds so it’s worth enquiring. The Rescue Centre takes Siberian Huskies and other breeds.

If you have a dog that is looking for another home due to the owners ill health, moving abroad, moving to a new place where pets aren’t allowed, or job commitments have changed, give us a call or drop us an e-mail with the details. If we can take them we will do our utmost to find a suitable home for you Labrador, Retriever, Spaniels or any gun dog breed.

Click here for adoption registration form; Adoption Registration.

We make no apologies for the length of the form or for the information required as the best interests and welfare of the dogs are the main priority when looking for new homes for our dogs. We began by asking for donations to fund our work but due to the costs of working with and re-homing unwanted and stray dogs there is now a minimum donation required this will be discussed with you if your application is successful and along with a suitable home check.

A word of warning; please don’t send us emails with “ I’ll have her” as the sole text, these just get deleted as we can not take you seriously.

Any other information: Let us know if you have any particular needs that may prevent you from giving a potential adoptee the exercise they need. This way we can advise you of a breed that may be better suited to your situation and needs.

We are not a registered charity but all our work is funded out of our own pockets so any donation is gratefully received, big or small. Thank you.

Appeal

We are appealing for locally a small amount of building materials to help with the up-keep and maintenance of the out door kennels and runs. This can be a costly business so we appreciate all donations. We need the following;

Screws assorted sizes

Nails, assorted sizes

Fence paint.

A small amount of bricks or breeze blocks

12 x 18” x 18” slabs to finish off exercise/training area. New or used.

1 Large plastic dog bed

Unwanted dog collars and leads, toys and old footballs etc.

If you can help, please drop us a line or call, no donation is too small and it is gratefully received. Even the price of a bag of nails can then be spent on food and veterinary  care.

A big thank you goes to Paul and Claire from Morris Electrical, of Wednesbury for donating enough new slabs to pave two runs and almost all the training area.

Thank you to all who have donated time, materials and financially.
